Habitat Tracking Index

DCRM has developed a new tracking system to identify and collect data on coastal habitat losses and required gains as a result of permitting projects in the CNMI. The habitat losses and gains tracking system is a dedicated database created to collect and store information related to tracking the acreage, per project, of avoided losses and gains of critical coastal resources and habitats associated with permitted projects. DCRM is also developing a GIS-based tools to further support this newly established tracking system.

Below is DCRM’s APC Habitat Tracking Sheet used to keep track of all permitted projects that are likely to impact habitats on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
