CNMI Ocean Month
Sailing Together Toward a Sustainable Future
2025
As a community deeply connected to both our lands and seas, we hold a steadfast commitment to ensuring that our precious natural resources are conserved, protected, and responsibly managed for the benefit of future generations. Through ecosystem-based management, effective conservation efforts, and the promotion of environmental stewardship, we are able not only to safeguard these resources but, in many cases, to restore and enhance them.
In the CNMI, the ocean is far more than a source of sustenance and recreation; it provides essential services that support sustainable livelihoods, protect our coastlines, and offer valuable tourism opportunities. In recognition of this, the Division of Coastal Resources Management (DCRM) proudly joins the global community in celebrating this invaluable resource during the month of June.
The 2025 CNMI Ocean Month Calendar and flyers for events will be uploaded on May 30, 2025.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the CNMI Ocean Month Co-Chair, Jovahna Flores, at jflores@dcrm.gov.mp or (670) 664-8300.
